Golden Dragon Buffet in East Haven

I would never eat here, ever again. The food didn't taste good and the sushi definitely wasn't fresh. I was very disappointed. The air was muggy, damp...I probably should've known to leave from just that. The staff were friendly. Hopefully things change because I wouldn't want anyone else experiencing what I did.

Every year we take our 8th graders here on the way back from their middle school graduation trip. And, every year, the staff is very helpful and patient with the kids. This is not an easy thing, to have over a hundred young teens enjoy a buffet (some for the very first time). Erin was especially kind and helpful this year. I appreciate the team that serves here— our staff and students thank you!

Delicious, Good Service

Golden Dragon Buffet was a smash I went there with two of my bestie b****** and we had a f****** ball if I was smart I would have did a video because we turned the place out it was only like 6 people in there and four of them was us like we were the party but the food was fresh everything was good I know my homegirl in about eight to ten place on front and yes I would yes I would recommend it yes yes Betsy said that's a yes

Worst experience ever! We could not enjoy our food. Waitress kept harrassing us and watching over us like we were stealing food!!! Cindy the Waitress told my 9 yr daughter she could not use the restroom! After waiting for the manager Cindy put her finger in cup to remove my drink and decided to clean the table with a wet rag while i was still sitting. She also cleaned my hands just unbelievable!!! I was told by the host with no name that the manager is currently on vacation in China. The other employees didnt speak English. Prior to my complaint they spoke English just fine though. I wont be coming here again.

I really enjoyed the buffet. Perfect place for lunch with friends and family. The shrimps and prawns was well prepared

The food was okay, and the prices are good but the service was awful/ The waitress hovered over our table constantly watching us like we weren't supposed to be eating. I wouldn't have minded the hovering if she did her job which was to remove the plates and refill drinks. She approached us numerous times asking the ages of our kids after I told her numerous times. She even tried to ask them directly as if we were lying. My sister was also there with her 2yr old son and there is no charge for 2yr olds but when we left they made my sister pay a made up $3 charge because she fed him off of her plate. i told the management when I went to pay about the rude waitress and he said nothing.

Go there often. Good food at a reasonable price.

This place is the worst place ever sorry to say cold and hard food ot on point

Perfect mix of American and Asian food. They have mottzerella sticks. Ice cream. Almond cookies. Green beans. And some bomb salt and pepper orange chicken creation. A must. Right next to the highway great location. Need some new waitresses but what place doesnt.... enjoy!

I stopped there yesterday with my family to get some lunch on our way home. We've been doing take-outs there for years but yesterday was our last lunch from that disgusting place. I got very sick less than one hour after eating some fried "mystery" meats from their buffet. For over 10 hours I had to stay in bed with an awful nausea or over the toilet throwing up. As a bonus a tremendous headache which I usually never get. This was my worse experience from eating restaurant food. I had an aftertaste of burnt and nasty cooking oil for hours. My husband wanted to call the USDA or the Health Department but I feel much better today so we'll just avoid that place and never go back there again!

Nice food.. for everyone something to find. Food quality at this time good.. several variations. Serive so far ok.. friendly stuff. Is enough for quick stop for lunch...try and enjoy together.

Had to leave after 10 minutes of arriving because the workers won’t stop staring at you. The food was old and had been sitting there for a while, there is no variety on the buffet or hibachi. My friend hid her wallet in her seat when going to make a plate and when we got back the waitress had her wallet. When we went to pay money was missing from her wallet. Do not recommend unless you want to throw up on your way out.

The place is good. I've been there a few times before and my brother-in-law likes going there for his birthday. The prices are up there, though.

I like the variety and the layout, big clean easy to move around.

Is the usual Chinese buffet. We know some.of their waitresses about 5 years ago. 4 stars because the new waitress didn't give a kidnes and decent customer service.

I like this place its usually not very crowded and the food is super fresh, plus its close to my grandbabies and they like to go there for the 🍣🤷🏽😁

Very good selection of main dishes and deserts. Some of the food could have been a bit warmer.

The waitress was very annoying, kept saying "thank you" while my ppl still eating. And she really asked my bro-in-law "4 or 5" while pulling on his shirt, I was confused at first because I really didnt expect a waitress to disrespect like that by asking what size his shirt is. If he wasn't a patient person, the situation could've escalated quickly. But definitely left no tip for her

Food was good but they need to stop looking at us like we are not supposed to be there

Place is constantly going down hill. Appetizers are all previously frozen. General tsos was drowning in sauce. When i confronted management, they really didnt want to hear it. Ill let the picture speak for itself. No gravy for the egg foo young. No hibachi attendant. Nearly all meat dishes were chicken. Mongolian beef was served cold and was loaded with cartilage. Wont be back.

I like the sushi. The workers are friendly. The place can use a new rug, though; it looks a bit worn.

Dining room is very small and old. Floors has carpet that's smelly and looks dirty. I asked if they can bring a fresh pan of food because the one there was old, empty and dry and they ignored me. Unless you see the place had been renovated, I don't recommend this place. Sorry guys, but not sorry

The wait staff was friendly and that’s pretty much it. One of the chefs killed a roach that was crawling on the wall by the desserts. He smashed it on the wall and then walked away. The Hibachi chef was sneezing behind the grill. He then took some tissue blew his nose and continued cooking on the grill. 🤢 He never stopped to even wash his hands. This place has gone downhill. I hope the health department visits them soon. I’m scared I may get sick tonight. Whatever you do avoid this place.

Loved the taiwanese noodles best💗 you dont see much of that area in food choices at most restaruants

All waitstaff were nice and the food was good.

For less then $13 you can have acess to a large Buffet of great food includeing ice cream.

Love going in for take out for lunch its like $4 a pound ! Ill spend maybe 8 bucks and have left overs for late night snack!

Nice but not enough simply cooked meat and veggies. It's either fried, in a heavy sauce or been over marinated before cooking. Steamed options would be awesome. That said the place is clean and the staff great. Price is also very reasonable.

My 7 yr old daughter loves it so I have to give it 5 stars .... As an adult , it's a Chinese buffet. What can you really expect ? Lol

Place is clean staff pleasant buffet veggies are cold many items need refreshing. I took my dish of green bea ns bok choy, brocolli and zucchini to the grill, added bean sprouts, onions and mushrooms with some spicy sauce and all was well with the world.

Food is good but needs to improve on Customer Experience!

Had a great dinner here with the family. They were attentive in removing our plates and keeping our glasses full. The food on the buffet line was replaced quickly and the stale food was removed. Waitress was attentive to our table. Will visit again. 🌷Ms. K.B.S.

The restaurant was dirty, the server apathetic and the food was really horrible. It was convenient but I won't return. It was that bad.

Very dissapointed in the way this restaurant has been operating lately! The food does not taste the same and we noticed the waitress diluting out Sprite drink with water. I would not recommend to anyone any longer.
